Vanuatu Flag

Vanuatu is a nation made up of 83 islands. Vanuatu, which was once called the New Hebrides, was originally a condiminium, governed by both the United Kingdom and France. In 1980, the country gained its own independence. A new country, a new name: Vanuatu

This is a beach on the eastern side of Vanuatu's main island.

A native village on the island of Tanna, one of the islands that makes up Vanuatu.

This is Vanuatu's main island, Efate, from the air.

Markets

An open air market, in Port Vila (Vanuatu's capital), where many things are sold. Fruit, clothing, and many other items.


Reserve Bank

This is Vanuautu's Reserve Bank. Probably the equivelent of the US Federal Reserve.

Overlooking the town of Port Vila. This is the commercial centre of Vanuatu, as well as the seat of government.

Air Vanuatu's Boeing 737-400, at Port Vila's international airport. This aircraft was being wet leased (which means it includes a flight crew) from Qantas.
