Nashville

The Nashville skyline.

The following few photographs were taken at the Oklahoma City National Memorial Center. 168 people were killed in the terrorist bombing at 9:02AM CST, April 19, 1995. The site was originally the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.

Oklahoma City Memorial

The far end of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Center. The '9:03', on the wall, represents the time of one minute after the explosion.

Survivor Tree

This tree is called the Survivor Tree. It stands to the north and east of the bomb site, and was a witness to the explosion. It commemorates those who survived.

Oklahoma City Memorial

The time on the wall reads '9:01'. This is the minute before the explosion took place. To the right, are 168 chairs. Each chair represents each person that died in the bombing.

9:03

Once again, another shot of the wall remembering 9:03, the minute after the explosion.

Tiled wall

These tiles were cards drawn by children all over the United States, and given to the firefighters that were working to locate bodies in the disaster.

Fence memorial

This fence is here for people to express their own way of remembering, by allowing them to place their own memorials.

Remember

"We come here to remember those who were killed, those who survived and those changed forever. May all who leave here know the impact of violence. May this memorial offer comfort, strength, peace, hope and serenity."

These few shots were taken at the meteor crater in Arizona.

Capsule

Apollo test capsule.

Boilerplate

This is the sign that can be seen in the bottom right hand corner of the above photograph.

Meteor Crater

I'd been wanting to visit this meteor crater for many years. I finally got the chance to, in May 2000.
